Writing Is Not A Simple Process - 921 Words

My English 1301 Experience Writing is not a simple process. Sure, it is easy to write down some of thoughts, but writing properly is complex and takes some time to learn. Before I took this class I considered myself an excellent writer. Now I see that there is more to it. It took a lot of research and multiple sources but it’s safe to say that this class helped my writing skills improve. I have plenty of weaknesses, but I also have strong points that benefit my writing. Even though my strengths such as letting good ideas flow and being well organized helped me excel in my writing, I still have my weaknesses such as breaking down paragraphs, and knowing the correct way to write citations. For starters, I’ll explain some strengths that I incorporate into my writing. I can take any topic and make it into a story. Even if the topic isn’t relevant to me, I can make something out of it. Many people have writers block and need inspiration to start the writing process bu t I find anything easy to roll with. I’m very good at letting one idea flow to another. This has always been a strength and has been very helpful to me because I can always get a head start instead of wasting hours or even days contemplating on how to address the topic. Another strength I have is being very well organized. I never start an essay without having an outline of exactly how the placement is going to be. I brainstorm.
